Once fully deployed, Viziv’s surface wave technology has the ability to make the world a safer place.

In 2005, the CDC estimated overhead transmission lines cause 128 work-related fatal electrocutions in the U.S. every year. This data does not include non-occupational injuries from transmission lines.

Surface wave networks can effectively eliminate the need for energy to pass through transmission lines, thus removing the potential loss of life or harm to others caused by downed power lines.

Power plants – nuclear or electrical – are often built close to heavily populated areas, causing the potential for risk to human and animal life to increase exponentially in a catastrophic event.

Wireless delivery systems allow power plants to be built far from populated areas, reducing the impact on our communities.

In 2018, the U.S. energy industry transported 1.5 million pounds of uranium concentrate and 10 trillion cubic feet of natural gas across railroads, highways and pipelines.

Allowing generation to happen where the fuel source is located reduces the amount of hazardous fuels (natural gas and nuclear material) needing to be transported.

A World Health Organization-led review of 11 Sub-Saharan countries revealed that one in four health facilities did not have access to electricity. Only 34% of the surveyed hospital facilities had what the surveyors termed “reliable” access.

Surface wave technology can assist in increasing access to advanced medical treatment to remote villages and communities by making power available for portable diagnostic, imaging, and treatment tools.
